MY BACKGROUND
I am seventeen years old and have attended Southeast Career Technical Academy for the past four years and during this time I have been enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program. The time I spent in this program allowed me to develop skills that will prepare me for the future I aspire as an Optometrist or Nurse Practitioner. I have developed health care related skills to prepare me for the work place after high school.

I have been a part of SOL for 3 years and through this club I have been able to get involved with my community through volunteering and community service.

I have been enrolled in this club for 2 years and it has allowed me to prepare for a future as a health professional. In this club I have been able to volunteer in several events.I competed in state competitions in 2019 and will do so again in 2020.

My Enrollment in the Nursing Assistant Program at SE Tech
I have been enrolled in the nursing assistant program for four years and I have learned a myriad of things that I will cherish for a lifetime. My major at SE Tech has allowed me to gain skills that I will use for my future career as a nurse. Through this program I have been allowed to go to the hospital and apply my skills in real life with real people. Every other day of my senior year, my class and I would go to lab and practice the Nevada mock skills on the mannequins and with our peers as well. Besides my nursing classes, I have also taken courses in Health Science 1 & 2, Anatomy and Physiology, and Human Diseases. These classes have provided me with knowledge about the human body and its functions. In the school year of 2019-2020 I have also learned the diseases of the human body. Overall, the Nursing Assistant Program has made a vast difference in my life and has also prepared me greatly for my future after high school.
